Verona Area Community Theater (VACT) is thrilled to announce its production of She Loves Me, the charming musical that has captivated audiences around the world with its wit, warmth, and timeless romantic intrigue. This delightful show opens December 5th and runs through December 15th, at VACT’s own theater, located at 103 Lincoln Street, Verona, Wisconsin.
Set in a quaint 1930s European perfumery, She Loves Me follows the endearing story of two shop employees, Amalia Balash and Georg Nowack, who clash constantly in person, only to unknowingly share an anonymous, tender romance through their letters. The story’s enduring appeal has inspired multiple adaptations, including the classic films The Shop Around the Corner and In the Good Old Summertime, as well as the beloved romantic comedy You’ve Got Mail starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. Each version explores themes of unexpected love and mistaken identity, making She Loves Me a timeless favorite.
