Two years already!?

It was August 21st, 2022 when I published the first Press Release on Mad's Theatre introducing the website.

A few days later on August 25th, I sent emails to just about all the theatre folks I know in Madison.

If you are receiving this email, you and I might have crossed paths in a lobby or on a production or two (or twenty). I think you might be interested in this :)

A little later, Lindsay Christians called me up to talk about the site and the upcoming theatre season, publishing the article on September 14th (on my 35th birthday).

Mad’s Theatre debuted in August, aiming to be “a single point of information for all performing arts in Madison,” said creator Benjamin Barlow. “So you don’t have to hop around so much. … It’s a website I wanted to exist as a theater professional, so I’m giving it to the community.”

It was so much fun to see years of work finally making it's way out there.

So what has happened since! We have...

What's Next!

A lot of behind the scenes work has been happening this last year (including massive performance improvements), but I still have so much more that I want to work on in the upcoming months.

- A Volunteer Hub serving as a single location for organizations and people to connect
- A calendar view that shows auditions/productions on a timeline
- How To and FAQ videos that walk through the fundamentals of how this site operates on Drupal
- Mad's Theatre Minute Profiles that feature individuals who have made significant contributions to our performing arts community.

Here's to a new next year!
