Tempered by eons of rage, Prometheus is unleashed to take their revenge!
Auditions: October 19th and 20th from 6pm to 9pm at Broom Street Theater.
Performances: January 16 – February 1, 2026 (rehearsals begin November 9th)
A new full length epic retelling of the classic story of Prometheus, the Titan of Greek Mythology who defied the Gods of Olympus by bringing the gift of fire to humankind. This play shows Prometheus escaping from their eternal bondage to wreak revenge on the Gods who wronged them. But as the dust settles in a brave new world without the meddling of Olympus, what will become of the mortal realm? Will chaos or order reign in the world of Prometheus Rex?
A heretical work of Greek Mythology dealing with contemplations on the nature of power and the necessity of revolution in tyrannical times.
Prometheus Rex will be directed by Brent Holmes with John Siewert serving as Assistant Director.
We are seeking at least eight actors of a range of gender expression, age and racial identity to embody larger than life characters.
Auditions will be held on October 19th and 20th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Broom Street Theater, 1119 Williamson St, Madison WI. Performance dates will be from January 9th to February 1st, 2026, with rehearsals beginning November 9th.
Auditions will consist of cold reads of sides selected from the piece. Prepared monologues are not required, however if you have a monologue you would like to share to showcase your talent you will have the opportunity to perform it during auditions.
