The Mousetrap

By Agatha Christie

Directed by Jan Levine Thal

The Mousetrap is a 1952 murder mystery play by Agatha Christie, and is the longest continuously running play in modern history. The play is known for its twist ending, which audiences are asked not to reveal after leaving the theater. The production includes opportunities for the audience to win prizes by correctly guessing the identity of the murderer. A family friendly play — no cursing, no nudity, mild violence.
Mollie and Giles Ralston have just opened Monkswell Manor, a new bed and breakfast in rural England. Five guests arrive in a heavy snowstorm. Despite the impassable roads, a policeman shows up on skis, asking each of the characters about their connection to wrongdoings in the past. Everyone begins to suspect one another. When someone in the house is found dead, everyone becomes a suspect. As individuals confess to false identities and shady pasts, the plot thickens.
